Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Property searches — the addresses you enter and the risk dossiers generated for you.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We store a record of your purchases and credit balance, but never your full card details.
• Technical information — IP address, browser type, and server logs, plus essential cookies used to keep you signed in.

How we use it

We use your information to provide and improve the service, generate and store your reports, process payments and manage credits, send verification and transactional email, keep the platform secure, and meet our legal obligations.

Disclosure to third parties

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run RiskNest: Stripe (payment processing), Postmark (email delivery), Google Maps (address geocoding), and our hosting provider. We do not sell your personal information. Some of these providers may store or process data overseas (including the United States); we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled appropriately.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme if a breach occurs.

Retention

We keep your account and report data while your account is active and for as long as we need it to provide the service or meet legal and financial obligations.

Derived and aggregated data

The risk assessments we run produce derived results — hazard classifications, scores, and geospatial insights. RiskNest may retain, aggregate, and use these results in de-identified and aggregated form to improve the service, calibrate our models, and build the RiskNest knowledge graph. This use does not identify you personally and is consistent with the collection notice you accepted at signup.
